| Kelly L. Patton M.S., LMHC I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Indiana State University’s AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists) accredited program in 1987. I was licensed as a mental health counselor in Florida in 1992, and in Indiana in 1998. In 1998, I received certification as an Imago Relationship Therapist. Having recently returned to Florida, I am again licensed here. I have over 20 years of professional experience and more than 40 years of life experience, which has been my greatest teacher. I have worked with an incredibly diverse population including being a therapist for adjudicated adolescents in residential and out-patient settings. I have worked with adolescents and their families in a alcohol and drug treatment program, and provided individual, family, relationship, and group therapy in a community out-patient mental health program. After becoming licensed and more seasoned, I went in to private practice where I specialized in working with relationship issues and individual counseling. It has been a privilege for me to be able to work with gay, lesbian, bisexual and straight couples,helping them deepen and strengthen their relationships. In 1993 I was introduced to the Imago Therapy model, designed specifically for relationship issues. That training changed my life and my practice dramatically! The tools I teach are effective and practically ‘fail proof’ and they are applicable in most relationship settings! Personal growth is one of my favorite avenues. I enjoy working with people who are really interested in bringing forth their best selves…. evolving into their highest levels of functioning possible. |
